Yoga with Chrissy

Join Chrissy, an OT/RYT-200, for accessible multi-level yoga classes. All poses can be done seated, standing, and mat level.

FAQ, courtesy of Chrissy:

  • I am new to yoga: The class is cued for all levels- there are a few extra mats and props to try
  • I am unable to stand for yoga/have a balance impairment: The class encompasses use of a chair or W/C with accessible variations and options
  • I am nursing an injury: The teacher will cue for injury prevention during the class- please let the teacher know about your injury prior to the class
  • I have a visual or hearing impairment: Alert the teacher for up close positioning of mat/chair
  • I am a trauma survivor: The class is an inclusive, safe, respectful space, with many choices to explore yoga in your body and choice of seat position
  • I don’t have full movement in my arms/legs: Accessible yoga allows you to move where you are able, while working on breathwork and meditation- If you’re breathing, you can practice yoga
  • What if my yoga doesn’t look like the teacher’s? This is your yoga practice. Your unique flow will be different than other people’s. It will be beautiful and will feel good in your body
  • I don’t have yoga outfits: Wear whatever feels good to you and allows you to move- shoes on/off
